I've seen Howrah Bridge a couple of times, but still don't remember anything about it other than the songs and the very basic reason about why Ashok Kumar's character lands up in Calcutta. Just goes to show how forgettable the plot was.
I do like Helen's dancing a LOT in Mera naam Chin-Chin-Choo, but she isn't awesome yet. Awesome is what I'd call her in Gumnaam or Teesri Manzil. Awesome (or beyond awesome) is definitely Madhubala in Aaiye meherbaan - she is divine in that. One of my first posts on my blog was a 'Ten of my favourite Madhubala songs' and I rated this one as my favourite. :-)
Ah, yet another reason to add Teesri Manzil to my list of "give it another chance" movies. So far, I've loved Junglee and Andaz Apna Apna on rewatching, after disliking them the first time, now you've reminded me I need to extend the same opportunity to another movie I was unimpressed by, Teesri Manzil. Thanks!
